Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle growth and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweed, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Standard Poodle. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Standard Poodle belongs. Based on this research, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Standard Poodle.

Parsley

Parsley is a biennial, hardy, herbaceous plant from the carrot family. Parsley has been used as a medicinal herb for hundreds of years. It combats dozens of ailments. According to various sources, it cures diarrhea, anemia, and ear infections, among other things. It is rich in iron, more so than spinach, for example. Parsley also contains other minerals such as silicon, as well as vitamins B and C, and carotene.

At Yourdog, we add parsley to dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific problems related to blood, heart, and kidneys.

Parsley is a natural source of vitamins C, A, and K. This can contribute to a healthy immune system and eyesight, and can benefit the cardiovascular system and liver. Parsley also has anti-inflammatory properties and can have a diuretic effect, keeping a dog's bladder free of impurities.

Celery

Celery is a plant belonging to the carrot family. The plant is often found along the coast in wet soil.

Celery is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, but also contains a lot of folic acid and potassium. In addition, celery is fat-free, high in fiber, and very low in calories.

We add celery to our dog food because it can positively contribute to supporting the dog's immune system and digestion. It can also have a positive effect on skin and coat, muscle and nerve function thanks to vitamin A, and maintaining strong bones thanks to vitamin K.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree of the genus Malus, on which the hand apples, well-known especially in the Northern Hemisphere, grow. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fiber has a multifaceted function in the digestive tract. It is able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and smooth. Furthermore, dietary fiber increases the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the functioning of the intestines, but also ensures thorough elimination of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support a healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble, and apples are low in calories.

Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C supports muscle and bone development during the early years.

Puppy, adult, or senior?

To help you choose the right Royal Poodle dog food from our range, please use the following guidelines. If your Royal Poodle is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Royal Poodle older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Royal Poodle Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Nutritional advice

Transfer advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of dog food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Allow your dog two days to adjust to this. Next, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. Again, allow your dog two or three days to adjust. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched over to Yourdog. Do this for two days. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog Royal Poodle dog food at your own discretion.

Storage instructions

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the container, but to place the entire bag, tightly closed, inside.
